The following is a brief description of our letterhead and envelope stationery printing and engraving capabilities. |

ENGRAVING |
| |
| |
Also known as Intaglio, engraving is the oldest of all the printing methods and provides the highest quality imprint. The image is sharp and the feel is similar to embossed. A letter or an image is cut into the surface of a metal plate usually copper or steel. This is called a die. The copper plate and the male counterplate of 24-ply counter board are applied, with 2,000 to 4,000 pounds of pressure to create this image by inking the plate then wiping it clean leaving ink only in the image or lettering of the die. The paper is pressed into the plate, transferring the ink and creating a fine raised image. This is the most distinguished sharpest image obtainable. |

PRINTING |
| |
| Also known as offset printing or lithography. Printing provides a range of single color impressions to multicolor printing. This is a photographic image or lettering transferred to paper by a negative or plate with ink and pressure. |

THERMOGRAPHY |
| |
| |
Also known as raised printing is the process by which printed materials are raised by use of heat and resin powders. This process is frequently used for invitations and business cards. |

FOIL STAMPING |
| |
| |
This is the process by which a foil image is placed onto stationery using a raised magnesium stamping die. The image is applied using heat and pressure, which bonds the foil to the paper. |

EMBOSSING |
| |
| |
Monograms, logos, emblems, or lettering can be pressed into paper by use of a metal die. An uninked impression is called blind embossed. This provides a raised image for a sophisticated look. Embossing is a deeper impression than engraving, and can be combined by registration with engraved, foil stamped, or printed stationery for a bolder look. |
